Third demo from this proud Northumberland project, the main creative outlet for the mighty Nihtgenge (Aad Sleck, Cynewulf, Blodryne, etc). Continuing with the same serpentine melodicism and feral energy of its predecessor, the killer “A Vial of Putrid Hockle“ demo of 2021, “Acrid Portal Incantation“ delivers another slab of stygian barbarism. Eerie and mind-warping riffage is delivered by the dual guitar work, with the lead always conjuring some absolutely witchy and strange melodies, like indeed traversing some magical portal into a darkened world of bizarre creatures and putrid witchcraft. These stringed spells are always accompanied by the groovy and energetic electronic beats of the programmed drums. Another killer release, out on cassette via Hotchin Pit and Horrible Room.
