It's Morgaine here, and this week I'm excited to share this lovely wintery scene with you, with a handsome blue heron painted loosely in watercolour. Equipment list: today I'm using Saunders Waterford hot press paper, 100% cotton, weight 140lb / 300gsm, size 11 inches x 7.5 inches, or 28cm x 18cm. The colours I use today are: Payne's Grey, Lavender, Cobalt Violet, Raw Umber, and White Gouache. The brushes I use are: a Daler Rowney Aquafine Skyflow flat 2 inch wash brush; a Da Vinci Colineo liner brush size 0; a pair of Pro Arte synthetic Sword Liner brushes size Small and Large; an Escoda Ultimo synthetic mop brush size 10; and a Pro Arte Masterstrokes Series 60 miniature detail brush size 4/0.
