SAMUDRA is an environmentally focused, hand-illustrated, 2D puzzle game developed by Khayalan Arts that follows a child’s adventure across a polluted sea. Players encounter underwater creatures to uncover truths about “surface-dweller” actions causing the polluted deep-sea world. In the not-so-distant future, the world has been completely swallowed up by a toxic flood caused by climate change. Most animals are extinct, resources are scarce, and there are only a few safe havens left on the surface. One day, a child – one of the “Surface-Dwellers” who requires a breathing apparatus to endure Earth’s toxic atmosphere – helplessly sinks to the bottom of the sea. Away from civilization, the little Surface-Dweller must face horrific pollution and bewildering underwater creatures on the way to the surface.
