56 Palestinians have been killed and dozens injured in Israeli strikes across Gaza since morning, Al Jazeera is reporting, citing medical sources. The death toll from Israeli strikes targeting two schools housing displaced people in eastern Gaza City has risen to 18, with over 30 injured, it said. Meanwhile, strikes on central Gaza’s Bureij refugee camp have killed at lease 23 since Thursday morning. Deadly strikes have also been reported in Khan Younis, Nuseirat refugee camp and different parts of Gaza City, where attacks on several homes killed at least four people, according to medics cited by AFP. Thursday’s strikes bring the number of people killed in Gaza since the start of Israel’s war on the enclave on 7 October to more than 39,700.
