ASEZ WAO Takes Action in Crotona Park | WMSCOG

BRONX, NEW YORK — On the morning of September 8, 2024, 50 members of ASEZ WAO gathered in Crotona Park in the Bronx as part of the Green Earth movement. The cleanup was with Partnerships for Parks, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of parks throughout New York City. This event encouraged practical responses to climate change, one of ASEZ WAO’s goals outlined in the Take Action Project. The Take Action Project is a global effort in over 80 countries to fight global warming. By the end of the event, volunteers had collected twenty bags of litter around the pond in Crotona Park. They spread fresh mulch in tree beds, cleaned barbecue pits filled with ash, and maintained the children’s playgrounds by cleaning and weeding.
