When Vincent Cleren built his beautiful weathered model railroad layout in HO scale, he focused on four main themes: Autumn weather, industry in the suburbs of large cities, scrap metal and cobblestones as well as patina and dirt everywhere. The result is his superb French model railway layout called “21, Rue des Haies”, a detailed industrial model train diorama inspired by Parisian suburbs and freight rail traffic of the 1960s. Vincent Cleren’s HO scale model rail layout covers an area of around 300 x 60 cm and is characterized by an industrial atmosphere. All the houses are self-built. Walls, facades, doors, gates and window frames are “beautifully” patinated and weathered with dirt. The level of detail is truly amazing: Autumn has arrived and the entire industrial world in 1/87 scale reflects the dreary autumn atmosphere very well, because the colors of nature and buildings are wonderfully harmonized.
