Iceland volcano erupts, 4th time in 4 months Icelandic meteorological office confirmed the eruption, that began Saturday night at around 20:23 local time, left a fissure in the ground, spewing rivers of raging magma and clouds of ash in the same site as last month’s event that forced evacuation of the nearby town of Grindavik.
