Natural disaster 11 March 2023. Urgent evacuation! Massive eruption of the Merapi volcano in Java, Indonesia On the island of Java introduced the third level of danger out of four. Lava flows from the crater spread over a distance of 1.5 km. People were forbidden to approach the volcano at a distance of less than 7 km, writes the National Agency for Mitigation of Consequences of Natural Disasters. There are no reports of casualties or damage. Mount Merapi with a height of 2910 m is considered one of the most active in Indonesia.
