In this case, Soul Reaver is the sequel to Blood Omen (they both belong to the Legacy of Kain series). These games are primarily known for their excellent story, voice acting, and sometimes aggravating block puzzles. The music is often very atmospheric and not usually the centre of attention, and the series is a bit overlooked in general, so covers of its music aren't very common. I thought this would be a good song to cover since it's pretty dramatic sounding, and a bit more involved than most of the music.
