This Treehopper is Membracis foliata c-album from the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador. Treehoppers, family Membracidae are insects related to cicadas and leafhoppers. Most treehoppers have a highly modified pronotum on the back. Treehoppers feed on plant sap which is rich in sugar.
