During yesterday’s panel discussion on the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists, a representative of the UK Permanent Mission to the UN Office in Geneva claimed that she “was not aware of any examples of Russian journalists having been persecuted or undermined in any way in the United Kingdom”. ? This remark was made in response to the statement by a Russian representative highlighting a widespread campaign against Russian and Russian-speaking media and journalists in Western countries.
