The Sicilian Circle is an English Country Dance published in Hillgrove of 1857. It is an improper duple minor circle dance. Today we think of “Sicilian Circle“ as a way of dancing in a circle rather than longways that can be applied to almost any minor set dance. But once upon a time there was an actual dance of that name. See The Library of Congress's pdf of Hillgrove's work, for more information. The animation plays at 120 counts per minute normally, but the first time through the set the dance is slowed down so people can learn the moves more readily. Men are drawn as rectangles, women as ellipses. Each couple is drawn in its own color, however the border of each dancer indicates what role they currently play so the border color may change each time through the minor set.
