Sambaxé is a Brazilian inspired music and dance company led by artistic director Raffaella Falchi and musical director Alfie Macias. Their mission is to create a fun and safe environment in which to explore Brazilian dance, music, culture and tradition both in the classes and on the stage. It formed in 2008 as a way to continue spreading Brazilian culture through samba music and dance performances. In Brazilian culture, Axé means life force/energy. Sambaxé’s tagline is “Dance is a celebration of Life..”
