Advanced crime for advanced criminals: resisting arrest while attempting a carjacking of a moving car while clinging to said car while in the middle of a car chase escaping from an attempted murder, which was attempted while falsely imprisoning a domestically abused woman while out on parole for other felonies. Juan Valdez, 40, of Lathrop, California attempted the most advanced of advanced crimes; however, he was not up to the task he had set himself. After police arrived at the home of his long-long-long-suffering partner, who he had threatened to kill, Valdez fled. The initial chase saw his car spectacularly lose a wheel, and the second saw him given the wildest of wild rides as he desperately clung onto a car he failed at carjacking. When the un-carjacked driver finally pulled over, it was merely to allow the police to shoot Valdez, which they did, twice and successfully. Valdez is currently in jail, again, this time charged with all the crimes.
