This way you can read the translation without any problems. There’s a few Japanese words and sound effect that didn’t got translated, well, that’s because i’m don’t know Japanese. Just the typical cliche things they always say, you know, baka senpai desu, that stuff. so i would appreciate it if any of you who knows Japanese could translate the part that i miss out on or tell me to fix a translation for being incorrect. The bottom part will sound like I’m making a blog or something, but this is just for the people who are interested on how i did this. I did this as personal challenge to see how well my editing skills has gotten. I used to edited internet Japanese comics (mostly the umineko 4komas) and showed to my friend who like umineko. I haven’t upload any of my translated comics to the internet. mostly because i assume that if i look hard enough i might find someone who already translate it. I might be wrong, but i’m just doing this to please my friends. So today i decided to go to the next level and edit a flash video (well technically mp4 because i got it from youtube, but you know what i mean...) just to see if i could translate it without too much trouble. And as you can see i did a pretty decent job. the font might not be the best, but i’m still new to that stuff. I used to use comic sans for when i translated the comics, mostly because it was the closest thing as handwritten font i could find on Photoshop. But for this video i though that comic sans would’t be the correct font for this. (Try reading the word kill in comic sans and take it seriously. You can’t) So i used adobe Arabic font with a few simplified Arabic mixed for the goofy moments. usually a 4koma comic takes me around 10 minutes to translate and maybe more if i need to edit and redraw something from the comic. (kinda like from the video) this video was easy due to how similar and simple it is to a comic (i know you want to say manga, but this is a web comic, not really a manga... and no, its not a web manga either.) This video edits make have only taken 1 day to make, but i had 2 problems that made me work for a few extra hours. adobe premiere kept crashing and making me lose about 10 or so minutes of work (i eventually save after editing 1 frame of the video or dialog) and the part, now THAT was tedious... i had to use 2 video layers. Thank god this is a flash video and not an anime, otherwise i wouldn’t have been able to make that translation look decent. Man, i sure wrote a lot, i can tell because the video is already at 72%, well, anyways, i hope you enjoyed the video (and reading this stupidly long description) I will see if i make another translation video someday.
