British Instructional Films Ltd presents a Classroom Film. Map of Africa. C/U on area of the Nile through Egypt. Aswan, Assuit, Cairo, Rosetta, Alexandria and Damietta are labelled on the map. The Aswan Barrage. A car travels over the bridge. Landscape. Waterfalls, dams, small boats. Men with sticks walk along the banks of the Nile. Men use Shadufs or Shadoofs to carry water uphill. The water runs through trenches as an irrigation system. A pool of water. Two cows (or water buffalo?) pull a primitive mill wheel as they walk in a circle. C/U of mill wheel. A water wheel which has many small pots attached moves around and water pours out of each pot as they reach the top of the circle.
