This short video records our brief visit to the beautiful Helmsley Walled Garden. Helmsley is 25 miles north of the city of York and 31 miles west of Scarborough in North Yorkshire. Less than 2 miles away is the magnificent c1132 Cistercian Rievaulx Abbey. Helmsley walled garden is in the shadow of the medieval castle within the town, just a short walk from the main Pay and Display car park. It is open Wednesday to Sunday from March to December, 10:00am to 4:00pm. Gates locked at 5:00pm. Admission: Adult from April to October £ or £ with gift aid. Adult from November to March £ or £ with gift aid. Children free. RHS members free Wednesday.
