When launched in 1961, the Jaguar Mark X was considered too large for English roads, yet too small for American. With subtle styling updates in 1966 the Mark X became the 420G. Production lasted until 1970. But that was not the end as Daimler’s DS420 limousine was based on Jaguar’s 420G floorpan. With production of the Daimler continuing until 1992, the Mark X/420G’s influence extended for a staggering 31 years. The Mark X and 420G were magnificent cars. With sublime suspension, a responsive 3.8 or 4.2 litre engine and an interior like an English country estate, they befitted the era. To celebrate Jaguar’s superbly engineered flagship model of the 1960s, Classic Cars Adelaide brings you the Jaguar Mark X/420G. Filmed on location in the Adelaide Hills in South Australia only six months after widespread bushfires. #JaguarCars #JaguarMarkX #Jaguar420G #ClassicCars #SouthAustralia #Adelaide
