Hindi movie 'Meera' which was released in 1979 was a milestone in the career of Vani Jairam. Her soulful rendition of Meera bhajans tuned by the sitar maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar for the onscreen Meera - Hemamalini, were highly accoladed by the music lovers.
