When I chose this song for this year's neshiki day it was planned out in my head before the anime even came out then the anime did come out and it had all the perfect scene and I solidified this song as my choice. I was going to start this between doing vegas lights as like a 'break' between the fx and raw but then I had a thought. Then I had a thought --- what if --- what if in NTWEWY we DO see Shiki's I can do the full I waited... AND HOLY MY HEART. Not ONLY did they do a neshiki reunion buT they drew Shiki's face full on in a cutscene that's a throwback to the first game when Neku sees her RG form for the first already cried when they showed her for the first time but then they did THAT scene and I was crying again. jfc I was supposed to talk about the neshiki in the anime because I hadn't done so am I suddenly having a neshiki overload....?! bless. you know what I'll just jump back and forth --- THE NESHIKI IN THE GAVE US THE SOFTEST SMILES EVER. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE CLIPS. LOOK AT THEM. MY PERFECT BABIESSSSS. While I'm still sad they removed pretty much all of the arguments (shiki's got so many indignant/angry sprites but there was none in sight in the anime sob sob) they did increase the softness post-them becoming friends by a lot. They let Neku say Shiki's name so many times, my heart couldn't handle that ;-; ALSO NOT NEKU SAYING HE WANTED TO SEE SHIKI SMILING AND WALKING AROUND TOWN ;-; AND THEN THEM REINTRODUCING THEMSELVES TO EACH OTHER WHEN THEY MEET EACH OTHER IN THE RG?! ;-; bitch how dare you speaking of that I am fully of the belief that they changed the scene of Neku and Shiki's parting to being painful and then them shaking hands as introduction to make it so that they parallel Rindoka who also had a dramatic fadeaway AND a handshake/reintroduction at the end. What proof do I have? I SIMPLY KNOW. I KNOW IN MY HEART OF HEARTS. PROTAG X MR MEW GIRL SUPREMACY. also ALSO the way Shiki could sense Neku was mental link further love how that carries on from final mix where she called Neku thinking something was wrong/bad was going to 'm soft I'm so soft.... OH BACK TO THE REUNION - okay look I already cried the first time I then went to watch some Japanese cutscenes and last lines Shiki and Neku say are 'Okaeri' and 'Tadaima' respectively. yall know what I'm talking “Welcome home“, “I'm home“ --- I spent like another 10/15 minutes crying after that lmao I'm so freaking weak. (also nice to know I'm enough of a weeb to understand most of their convo without subs lol). at this point I should probably talk about the edit -- UH so the last two/three weeks of work has been an absolute paiiiiin. I took the week off to play the game so I finished about 6 days to socialise with my friends even (would be ironic to choose playing a game over spending time with friends considering it's twewy haha). spent a week after finishing ntwewy just playing only an hour/two after work to get most of the secret reports because dang the last 2/3 weeks of work have been SO busy. I'm surprised I managed to get this finished on time in all honesty. Though you can tell I kind of gave up on adding more text later on like it this way though haha I was also busy organising neshiki day on twitter~ if I managed to promo enough to get more people into posting for neshiki day this year than last year than I will be very happy (lol imagine me putting this much enthusiasm into my actual job HAHA). That said Aya and Kazea if you two manage to reach this part of the desc THANK YOU SO MUCH. You both helped me an amazing amount and are just super fun to talk to in general. Lena and Gigi when you finally get to reading this/seeing this of course this is also dedicated to you guys.
