More LiDAR: Delano paper (with Ryan Gold and others!) The huge New Madrid earthquakes of 1811-1812 created Reelfoot Lake and temporarily backed up the Mississippi River, but they also shook hills in the surrounding landscape until they spread and cracked. This video shows was the process looks like and uses LiDAR imagery to reveal what the shaken ridges really look like.
