Regatta. Possibly Henley, Oxfordshire. Shot from above looking down along the course of the races; a straight ribbon of water with spectators' boats crowded against the barriers on either side; two rowers come in followed by boat. Various shots of races and of the crowds watching from boats. Nice shots from above of some of the spectators' boats: people eating and drinking (in fact some people have whole tea services laid out on tables in the boats - nice shot of three ladies having tea). Some people reclining against cushions; while others stand up in the boats to watch races. Summer fashions - lots of white clothing. One race in which the rowers (both men and women) all stand in the boats; bend down and scoop with the oars. MS another race. MS boats on river. A team of eight oarsmen carry very long boat to water; get in and take their places; spectators with umbrellas stand on bank. More shots of crowd. Winning teams; now wearing jackets and white trousers; receive trophies. FILM ID:
