Ilya takes us through step by step of how he engraves a dragon on a custom damascus great sword. Engraving steel takes special steps. This is a series of videos showing engraving for beginners all the way to advanced as the videos progress. First Ilya shows us the bloom steel katana that he made last year with a carved / engraved dragon horimono on the blade and a beautiful hamon. Ilya breaks down each step as he works. Shows us how to generate an original sketch for engraving and how to transfer that sketch to the blade. He then shows us how he starts engraving the design on the blade and starts removing material. We also go into detail showing the tools that he uses to engrave. Starting with the huge engravers ball that he made and how it works. He then shows the hammers that you will need and a few different styles of chisels themselves. ► Visit our website for available items for sale ★ ★ Check out our official merch to help support the channel Please consider supporting us by sharing this video to help spread the word!
