Preparing the reed-pen and ink for Persian calligraphy

The master calligrapher Keramat Fathinia gives a workshop on preparing reed pens and ink for Persian nastaʼlīq calligraphy. The workshop was hosted by the British Institute for Persian Studies. The excerpts of poetry in the video are taken from the works of ʿAṭṭār and Ḥāfiẓ. Liqa -- wad of silk used in an inkwell to absorb ink.
