When I started doing some online digging to make the USSR Grooves set a few months ago, I had a chance to understand and explore the Easter European and Balkan music a bit more. As a Turkish musician and collector, it was great to find out the similarities in terms of rhythms and sounds in Bulgarian music in comparison to Anatolian music. In this episode, I played some great examples of Bulgarian jazz. There is obviously a lot more to discover, and maybe there will be the second part of this. But until then, I hope you enjoy this CBS episode:) ------------ NEW MY ANALOG JOURNAL MERCH IS NOW ONLINE!
