Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to offer a super clean 1983 Mazda RX-7. When talking about Japanese sports car, it is impossible not to mention the RX-7. Mazda first offered the car in 1978 with a revolutionary engine. The Wankel rotary was an engine which defied the norm with its design. The engine has no pistons, but rather a triangular rotor which rotates around the combustion chamber. The result is a much smaller displacement than the typical piston engine. This RX-7 sports the 1.2 Rotary engine. This engine produced just over 100 horsepower, but was lightweight which allowed the car to have an incredibly balanced 50/50 weight distribution. The entire car was under 2,500 pounds, so there is no doubt why they handle very well. This particular example is a well maintained 76,504 mile car which is a total survivor. This car comes with repair records, dealer delivery info, original workshop manual, Mazda RX-7 repair manual, Mazda dealership brochure, and the original window sticker. The color scheme is Sunrise Red over Black Vinyl/ Velour interior which is in incredible condition! Some features of the day include a large center mounted tachometer, a hard-to-find automatic transmission, sunroof, and the state-of-the-art orthopedic seats. Add the modern CD player and you are ready for the true sportscar experience! This 1983 Mazda RX-7 can be seen at with over 100 HD pictures.
