My quite overgrown paludarium with a juvenile longnose gar (lepisosteus osseus) and three Polypterus mokelembembe. If you are wondering why the longnose gar is in a pretty small tank compared to its own size, it is because young longnose gars easily break their neck och back due to their skittish behaviour and thin body. If the tank is too big, they might swim to fast into the glass and hurt themselves. The tank is simply a grow out and the gar is supposed to get a bigger tank soon.
