Gigafactory Texas on 6 August 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built! Very busy morning with several new developments and milestones achieved today! One of the more interesting developments is the use of Berkel Auger Pressure Grouted Piles in the south end of the central area. We discuss these in the introduction in detail, but I’ve also placed this information in the highlights section below. We see several large pipe deliveries by semi-trailers this morning. I’m not sure exactly where these will be installed, but they are quite substantial and large-diameter steel pipes. The parking lot was full, indicating quite a bit of interior work and possibly pre-production testing of the Model Y was going on inside in addition to all that we see on the outside.
