Welcome to Chenshan Botanical Garden in Shanghai. This sanctuary for over fifteen thousand plant species spans over 200 hectares of gorgeous landscapes, themed areas, and enormous greenhouses, Chenshan Botanical Garden is a captivating blend of natural beauty and scientific exploration. Our personal guide, Carrie, walks us through this immense park, imparting her impressive knowledge of the garden and the plants that live here. Our tour begins in a huge tropical greenhouse filled with gorgeous ornamental plants like bromeliads, palms, and carnivorous plants. Then we moved on to an impressive arid greenhouse to see some cactii and succulents, masterfully desertscaped to impress our eyes. I was pleasantly surprised that there’s a second tropical greenhouse with stronger emphasis on ethnobotany. Finally, we roam the outdoors to visit some of the other attractions. This is easily one of the best garden I’ve ever been to. Every corner was passionately and meticulously curated to educate and inspire visitors about the wonders of the botanical world.
