The sixth of 10 singles from the groundbreaking tap dance album Movements for Listening! Modern music meets scrap metal! Eraker brings her discarded taps, boards from the building supply shop, and a plexiglass box with water, while Hansen joins in with his exquisite selection of percussion instruments, including beautiful Chinese drums and a fancy vibraphone. Together they perform his new composition, consisting of three different tastes of textures, tones and rhythms. You’ll hear the acoustics of Scenehuset, a huge dance space that used to be a prayer house, and also the traffic outside… Anders Kregnes Hansen is a percussionist with a strong focus on contemporary music, performance and innovative genres. He excels both as a chamber musician and soloist. Hansen is a versatile musician who regularly works with most of the professional orchestras in Norway, as well as in the contemporary ensemble Aksiom. He has contributed on several recordings in contemporary music, classical, jazz, and pop/rock. Of these, several have been nominated for the Norwegian grammy award. As a performer he has premiered dozens of new pieces for percussion, and held concerts all over Europe. Hansen has a masters degree in performing classical percussion from the Norwegian Academy of Music. Daan Botlek is a visual artist from the Netherlands. He created the cover of the double vinyl record and the ten digital singles. These are all unique murals made in his atelier in Rotterdam, as a part of his artistic project called Primitive Practice. Janne Eraker is a tap dancer based in Norway. She has roots in many places; born in Germany, raised in Norway, educated and started a family in the Netherlands. Also her dancing has many roots, starting with Balkan folk dances, swinging by competition dancing, musicals, contemporary and modern dance, and now fermenting all of it into her tap dancing. Eraker is fascinated by the sound of tap dance, and has worked a long time to create all kinds of music with it. Her work spans from improvised concerts to choreographed dance pieces, collaborating with a wide range of artists. In 2022 she released her first album Gol Variations with the trio One Small Step. As a performer she also dances in the Sebastian Weber Dance Company in Germany. Much more information, videos and an extensive blog about this project can be found at .
