The 21 of February was declared International Mother Language Day by UNESCO in 1999. The NPLD would like to join the celebration of this day “to promote the preservation and protection of all languages used by peoples of the world“, as adopted by the UN General Assembly. In this year's celebration, the NPLD would like to pay tribute to those who learnt new languages to provide better care for all.
