Iran launched a surprise military drill on disputed islands in the Persian Gulf after the US military increased its presence in the region. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) drill involving ships, drones and missile units focused primarily on Abu Musa Island. Iran’s state run IRNA news agency reported that the IRGC also landed forces on the Greater Tunb Island.
