The church went abandoned after the reverend passed away. It was then locked up in legal battles over the reverend’s estate. Its organ pipes were stolen and scrapped in the fall of 2009. A different church bought this one with plans to renovate and restore it. There was fresh wood inside the church. Some of the catwalk and ceiling has already been restored but much more work is required for this place to be saved.
