Roman Yatsenko, a 51-year-old man on a business trip in Moscow when the attack began, struggled for more than a day to reach his wife and five children living in Sudzha. Hurrying back to his family, Roman walked the last 10 kilometers, hiding from Ukrainian drones in the roadside forest. Near his hometown, he came under heavy fire from a machine gunner but miraculously escaped unharmed.
