She's a housewife and at the height of the Southport riots she posted a rather unpleasant tweet encouraging people to burn migrant hotels down. She's been sentenced to 31 months in prison. However, there's some tragic context. Her baby son died due to NHS incompetence - and the last doctor to treat him was a foreign doctor, who she sees as effectively killing her child. (A GMC investigation heard care was 'below the expected level of a competent GP’). This case raises the issue of the NHS's reliance on imported staff. 35% of NHS doctors are foreign. It may surprise you to learn that medical training standards in Liberia aren't as high as in Britain, and fraudulent qualifications are sold in some countries. Nearly three quarters of doctors struck off the medical register in Britain are foreign. And while Lucy was jailed, people on the left who said dangerous, inflammatory things are walking free. Labour politician Ricky Jones was filmed calling for “fascists“ (a dog whistle for Tories or Reform supporters) to have their throats cut - he pleaded not guilty, wasn't held on remand (unlike rioters) and will undoubtedly walk. And government adviser Nick Lowles spread a malicious rumour that rioters were throwing acid at Muslim women. He hasn't even had his collar felt yet. Twitter: Paypal:
