The artist formerly known as Visionist delivers a strikingly intimate performance at RA's London office. Each record Louis Carnell released since 2011 has been bolder and more vulnerable than the last, moving steadily from the icy grime of his early productions to the blend of abstract electronics and delicate vocals that defines his music today. His latest album, A Call To Arms, marks two debuts for Carnell: his first record on the hugely influential Mute Recordings, and his first timing singing over his own music, a fact that's hard to square with the beauty and confidence of his performances.
