The Beijing Film Studio is inviting a highly-select group of guest artists to come to Beijing and make full use of its production resources, including some of the best facilities and infrastructure in China, co catalyze the artists’ creative efforts. This year, the theme of the Forum is ONEDREAMRUSH, with the only directive provided to guest artists being to create a 42-second film that takes as its inspiration the question: how do we dream? Once production has finished, the work of the artists will be featured on the Forum’s portal website . The Forum will culminate in a Gala on 04-02-09 with the screening of all 42 films, followed by a lavish after-party reception, and a three-week curated exhibition of the project at Beijing’s Today Art Museum. Ultimately, the project hopes to foster the spirit of ingenuity in the world’s youth filmmakers by bringing the best of the world’s leaders in film together to explore their creative capacity around a unified concept. 08-10-23 下午6:37 will be the portal and central communication tool of the project and will carry its message to the world. Featuring 41 top world creators, the festival leaves one creative vacancy for one amateur filmmaker and contestant-winner from China to stand alongside some of the world’s most influential and innovative directors and have their film screened at the Gala. The website will debut on October 31, 2008, and will debut two new 42-second films per week for the 21 weeks that lead up to the Gala. The website will be a way for the world at large to connect with the project, and the constant-release time schedule will create long-term interest in the project.
