DCS AJS 37 Viggen Radar: Practical Examples 2 Air to Air, Digital Combat Simulator

This video is an example of how I can intercept air targets in the AJS 37 Viggen. On a night patrol mere miles northwest of Saipan island, I use the radar to find some friendly F-5's. I even power up the missiles and get a lock, just to prove that I can. I explore the radar, find what settings work for this task (and what settings don't) and follow the radar picture all the way to a successful intercept. I am a crusty radar nerd, doing what I love on a good reproduction of a vintage radar set, that is strapped to the nose of an airplane that I am barely qualified to fly in a flight simulator. Fun times ensue.
