Phillip Schofield talks about anguish of coming out in Cast Away first look

Phillip Schofield has opened up on the “anguish” he experienced coming out as gay later in life during a first look clip at his new TV appearance on Cast Away. The former This Morning host, who was left on a desert island with just a camera, spoke of how “liberating” and “freeing” the experience is for many - however, the circumstances of his own were different. Schofield was axed from his daytime TV gigs after an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger colleague became public.
