Almost $327 million to fight loneliness. That’s how much South Korea plans to spend. The authorities call their project ‘A city where no one will be alone.’ The program will include a 24-hour hotline and an online platform. They will also expand psychological service provision, and offer meals to elderly people. An epidemic of loneliness has swept the country. In 2023, 3,661 Koreans died far from their loved ones. That’s almost 10% more than two years earlier. Japan has the same problem. Find out more in the documentary ‘Dying alone’ (2019). #humanstories FOLLOW ? News&Docfilms Channel Source: RT Documentary
