Nearly two decades ago, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu kicked butt and brought the laughs in two Charlie’s Angels movies. In 2019, a continuation of the franchise put together all the right ingredients for a fun action-comedy. The 2019 film cast Twilight star Kristen Stewart, Aladdin star Naomi Scott, and up-and-coming English actress Ella Balinska as Charlie’s crime-fighting Angels. It was the right balance of star power and fresh faces, and if that wasn’t enough, it was directed by Pitch Perfect 2’s Elizabeth Banks.
