8-19-2019 Charlottesville, VA - Violent Microburst Winds and Storm Damage

***NOT FOR BROADCAST*** Contact Brett Adair with Live Storms Media to license. brett@ An intense severe thunderstorm hit the north side of Charlottesville around 6pm on August 19. The winds lasted only a few minutes, but caused widespread tree damage and dropped hail across the north side of the city. This video was taken near the major intersection of Rio Road and Highway 29, near the Fashion Square Mall. Tree limbs damaged the home in the video, destroying some windows and a porch. Traffic was impeded while emergency vehicles were dispatched and debris was removed from the major roads.
