Even when solar activity is classified at very low levels, it does not mean that the Sun is totally quiet. Two prominence eruptions were observed beginning at 21:00 UTC (Oct 22). The first event lifted off the northeast limb and was followed up by another eruption, this time off the southern limb beginning at 23:15 UTC. In both cases, any associated coronal mass ejection (CME) should be directed away from Earth. Two nice coronal mass ejections were observed following a pair of prominence eruptions. Because both occurred off the the north and south limbs respectively, they appear to be headed away from Earth.
