This song is very personal to me. I don’t write often, as most of my creative energy is spent on other artists' work. But sometimes, music is the only way to process certain experiences. The feeling of being overlooked and unappreciated entered my life several years ago when someone I deeply cared about began to ignore me. A few months ago, someone else I had warm feelings for did something similar, and it worsened the wound that was already there, putting me in a really dark state that I’m still trying to overcome. This song is a reflection on those feelings—feeling unheard and overlooked. Being ignored and ghosted is a source of pain for many people, and this song explores that. Pardon my French. The key things to know about the lyrics are that the title is a made-up French word for 'being ghosted,' and the first and last lines are: 'Did your dog eat your phone? Well... If your dog ate you, that's a sad but valid excuse for ghosting.'
