To accomplish the goal this deck runs numerous ways to recast Ice Block a ton of times such as Rewind, Commander Sivara, Tidepool Pupil, (with Brann Bronzebeard as well) and even Volume Up for great draw or to copy an additional Ice Block / Frost Nova / Solid Alibi. Solid Alibi is great to stall out damage over and over, Frost Novas to freeze entire boards, Sleet Skaters to gain armor and freeze even more things. This new version of the deck also runs Portalmancer Skyla but unfortunately not Conniving Conman due to it being nerfed, Knickknack Shack Robocaller for insane amounts of card draw, and Metal Detector to gain a bunch of Coins for free and have your Rommath loop give you infinite mana. Mes’Adune is used to split one of your Sleet Skaters in half to gain TONS of armor and freeze the board even more while Theotar is incredibly useful for stealing other combo decks win conditions. Hostage Mage has strayed away from using Wildfire in it as the Hero Power package was underwhelming and now goes ALL IN on the Grand Magister Rommath infinite damage loop of Lightshow and Potion of Illusion. Sleepy Resident can destroy any board based decks and The Ceaseless Expanse also ends up being a HUGE board clear that leaves behind a massive 15/15 body for our opponent to deal with.
