No titles. Sidney Burchall. Comedian Ronald Frankau introduces baritone Sidney Burchall. C/U of Frankau pouring wine into a glass. Burchall's face is superimposed on the glass; fade into M/S of Burchall in casual shirt and trousers, sitting on a set dressed to look like exterior of a country house or inn. He sings 'Postman Pete', a song about an old village postman and the incidents and characters he meets. It also tells of old age and the time when his mailbag “will clatter to the ground“. All this is intercut with shots of old postman doing his rural round on three wheeler tricycle. No further information on music. Note: alternative spellings - Sydney Birchall, Burchell, Birchell. This was originally an item in Pathetone PT 491. This version also exists in 'Pathetone Parade of 1941' (see separate record). FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
