Filmed at Over Stowey, Bridgwater, Somerset. Various shots of Collie dogs. L/S of group of Collies running in a countryside setting with a kennel worker. L/S of lots of Collies walking along a country road with a man and a woman. “The King of the Kennel“ - Mountshannon Blue Splendour“ is featured. The dog stands on a basket and is groomed. C/U of the dog. The Rev. T. Salter (presumably the owner of the dogs) is seen with the dog - he and his wife (?) stand by the dog and she shakes the dogs paws. Three show dogs are presented: Janet O'Mountshannon, Mountshannon Magnetic and Patience O'Mountshannon. We see them in various poses including one C/U of each of the dogs heads. “Nigger“ is a dog who helps the postman. The dog runs down some wooden stairs and runs up to a man in a suit (who doesn't look much like a postman) the dog takes a letter from the man and runs along with it in his mouth. A man stands at the top of the steps. Top shot of the dog running up the steps. The Collie gets to the top of the steps and his master takes the letter from its mouth. A very obedient dog! Was item in Pathe Pictorial - issue number unknown. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
