Catophonator is a crossover between Cacophonator and MFOS WSG with some additional functions. It is based on 40106 hex inverting Schmitt trigger. - 2 generators - OSC3 and OSC4 run always in audio range, - 2 generators - OSC1 and OSC2 can run as audio range generators or LFOs, gating (or not) OSC3 and OSC4, - 2 generators - OSC5 and OSC6 are sucking current, which result in 40106 abnormal operation, - output from OSC1 to 4 can be mixed via resistor or diode circuit, - OSC1 can be gated with external (f.e. audio) signal (unfortunately it doesn't work very well). Controls: - OSC1 - OSC6 tuning pot, - STARVE control (red knob), - OUTPURR level, - OSC3 and 4 gating on/off switch, - OSC1 and 2 range switch, - mixing mode (resistor / diode) switch, - OSC1 gating from external source switch, - power on/off switch, - power on monostable button (the red one).
