Finally unleashed, after being firstly unveiled three years ago, the third full-length of Ehlder is upon us at last. The solo project of the infamous Graav (Armagedda, LIK) presents us another remarkable full-length of Pagan Black Metal ritualism. With clear similarities to its rustic compatriots in projects like Arckanum, Panphage or even Sorhin, Graav once again unleashes his own take on primordial Black Metal, with Norse shamanism playing a central role in this project. The rustic and pagan themes are certainly emphasized by the raw, feral yet on point production, the galloping, mossy basslines, and Graav's style with some clear 70's inspiration. The result is a beautifully written record and an ode to the ancients, the nordic forests and their wisdom, individualism and the burning fire of the spirit.
