Sup yall! In this Learning Russian Episode, I took a few steps back and revisited the BASICS: my old friend the Cyrillic Alphabet. I sucked at reading even simple titles and artist names, so I have decided to relearn the Alphabet. I'm happy to say that I was able to learn them by learning the nursery rhyme song, but reading for me was still a very slow and difficult process hahaha XD. I found a lesson plan that would help me put my new Alphabet skills to the test with some translating Russianized American city names back into English. This one was easy because obviously, I know most of the cities already, so reading only the first 3 or four letters of the Russian name allowed me to know the name of the full city right away. Regardless, it was a fun exercice. For next exercices, I will choose something a little more difficult, but still attainable for my level. :) The second activity was a reading one, and boy-oh-boy did I do terribly!
